Cameron Williams is currently Senior Mission Designer II at Absurd Ventures, a new studio from veterans of Rockstar Games. Cameron has worked on major franchises including Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty. He is a technical designer with a wide net of knowledge regarding open world design, systems and mission design.

He has led multiple different projects and worked as a technically-oriented game designer at Rockstar Games and Infinity Ward. He has a passion for narrative-rich systemic games! He has shipped Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, content for Red Dead Online and worked for several years on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

He is also known for bringing the infamous fan project “TimeSplitters Rewind” out of development hell to a shippable state and driving the go-to-market efforts.

Before AAA, he co-founded an indie games company called Dark Road which focused on the development of a title known as Take a Seat. As well as another unique narrative game called Stumberg Cay. He also co-owned and operated a company called AVR Studio that created unique VR experiences using Unreal Engine.

His primary passion lies within completing technical work for narrative and storytelling with unique and relatable characters.
